It's very difficult to express positivity when it comes to a loved one's funeral, however in the case of working with Farthings Felixstowe (and Ipswich), and because of the service that we received, in this case it's very easy.

We've never had to directly deal with a funeral before, we lost a loved family member in August, and as you can imagine the despair was hard to deal with.

From the very outset Farthings we're frankly incredible. Sam was incredibly supportive, caring, and in some areas of significant complexity very patient with us as we muddled our way through significant loss.

Within our first conversation she was on the phone to different parts of the county gathering information, facilitating, and coordinating, so that we could move as rapidly as possible towards a memorable service, whilst we were also dealing with the complexities of finalising a loved ones estate. She made the process effortless, smooth, and easy to understand. Especially for me as I have specific needs (Neurodivergence).

Early in the process we were introduced to our celebrant Drew, who also like Farthings, could not have been more professional, honest, and downright wonderful. ❤️

When it came to the final day and ceremony it could not have been more beautiful.

We were called the night before by Matt, who was our coordinator on the day, to introduce himself, to be on call if we needed him, and he talked us through what would likely occur. He also made it clear that if anything additional was needed he would make it happen.

When we arrived we were met by Drew our celebrant. We were met by Matt (Farthings), who reminded us of what to expect and asked us if we had any preferences for the procession.

When my father arrived, the car was immaculate, The floral presentation was beautiful and simple and the coffin bearers who met the Car were immaculately dressed and utterly professional.

The ceremony was utterly flawless. At the end we were presented with a beautiful presentation box, which had memories, a flower cutting, and a number of spare copies of the order of service. It was absolutely lovely. And completely unexpected.

Let's be honest, when people are dealing with something this traumatic it is very hard to do anything, so Farthings did EVERYTHING they could to support us. Nothing was ever any trouble, and they provided a service which was frankly unimaginably flawless.

I cannot express how grateful we are.

So in closing, if you need to use a funeral directors for your loved one, one that truly cares about every single tiny detail, then this is 100% the one that you need to use.

Originally I was going to use another funeral service but on phoning twice I got a message saying all of their operatives were busy. On requesting a phone back I received a call from their Manchester office.
Therefore I called Fathing Funeral Service and they couldn’t have been helpful. Following a meeting with them dates and proposal were discussed and an estimate provided. They were very professional from start to finish and Ammie couldn’t have been more helpful.

My family cannot fault the service we received from Farthing.

In what has been an already difficult and emotional time, Farthing have been caring, empathetic and professional. They made the journey as easy as possible and guided us through the whole process.

Farthings’s went above and beyond to provide the perfect send off for my beautiful daughter. It was everything we wanted for her & more. The attention to detail & care they provide was outstanding. We recently used Farthings Funeral services Ipswich for my late step dads funeral. We highly recommend them as they are very professional, caring and helpful in every way possible.
They supported us with everything and made the whole process less stressful and easier to manage.
