Miniature Shetland Pony helps care home residents saddle up for Christmas

Gypsy lady with care home residents

Farthing Funeral Service has brought Christmas joy to their community by visiting care homes in Ipswich and Felixstowe with Gypsy Lady, a Miniature Shetland Pony.

The team, dressed in festive elf costumes, aimed to spread positivity and lift spirits during the holiday season. Gypsy Lady, owned by Funeral Service Operative Hayley Clarke’s son Ronnie, has become an unofficial mascot for the funeral directors. The community’s response has been heartening, with touching moments and positive reactions from residents. Farthings Funeral Service has extended their festive spirit by donating Christmas trees and participating in a Christmas Fayre in Felixstowe. The initiative reflects their commitment to supporting and uplifting the community, bringing smiles to faces during a challenging time.
