Falkenham Church Hat Festival – August 2014

Over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Falkenham Church put on a Festival of Hats. This followed a very successful Scarecrow weekend in the village last year, which raised funds for the repair of the churchyard wall. This year’s project is improving the path from the road to the church.

Open Gardens – June 2014

The Trimley villages held an Open Gardens weekend at the end of June, and we were pleased to support their efforts to raise money for the Trimley Churches by printing the programmes.

25 Years Dinner – May 2014

As well as our full time staff, we are helped by a number of part time staff who come in and help as and when required. It is good for us all to get together from time to time, and we recently held a dinner at Milsoms, in Kesgrave.

Debenham Church Maritime Flower Festival – October 2013

Being at a distance from the sea, Debenham is a surprising place for a maritime themed flower festival. However, in the church is a memorial plaque to a marine, Robert Green of the Royal Sovereign, the first ship into action in Nelson’s fleet at Trafalgar. As a marine, he would have been in the rigging or on the deck as the line sailed towards the enemy. Trafalgar Day is 21st October, which explains the theme and the timing of the festival.

Macmillan Cancer Support Sponsored Walk – April 2012

Spring 2012 saw an extension of our work in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. In the past we have held coffee mornings as part of Macmillan’s nationwide World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
